What is Sum Cloud POS?
Sum Cloud POS lets you sell, manage inventory, track customers and run reports in real time across one or many branches. One account powers five surfaces:
- Cloud / Web dashboard — full back office and POS in any browser
- Desktop App (Windows) — offline-first billing terminal
- TableTime — waiter order-taking app for dine-in
- KDS — Kitchen Display System / automatic KOT printing
- Mobile App — manage your business from Android & iOS
Who is it for?
Restaurants, cafes, fast food, bakeries, bars, hotels, retail stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, salons, marriage/banquet halls and other service businesses. Roles served include owners, managers, cashiers, waiters, accountants and administrators.
How Sum Cloud POS works
You configure your business once in the cloud (branches, items, taxes, printers, users). Every device signs in to the same account and stays in sync. Sales made on any device flow to shared reports; stock is deducted in real time; and taxable invoices are submitted to the relevant tax authority automatically.
Cloud vs Desktop POS
Both are the same system with different strengths:
| Cloud / Web | Desktop App | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Back office, reporting, multi-branch | Fast counter billing |
| Internet | Required (works from anywhere) | Optional — full offline mode |
| Install | None — any browser | Windows installer |
| Hardware | Basic | Deep printer, cash-drawer & scale support |
Offline mode
The Desktop App, TableTime and mobile keep working when the internet drops. Sales, receipts and tables are stored locally and automatically sync to the cloud when the connection returns, so billing never stops during load-shedding or outages.
Online synchronization
When online, changes sync continuously: new items, price changes, stock movements and sales propagate between devices and the cloud. A sync indicator shows status; a completed sync refreshes menus, tables and catalogue automatically.
Multi-branch architecture
Manage unlimited branches from one dashboard. Each branch has its own stock, staff, printers and reports, while head office sees consolidated figures. Stock can be transferred between branches, and users can be scoped to specific branches.
