Kitchen printer & routing

Assign one or more kitchen printers and route items to them by category or floor, so each station prints only its items. Per-floor printer assignment can auto-print when an order is marked ready for payment. KOT print margins and layout are configurable.

Cash drawer setup

Configure the cash drawer by connection type — Serial, USB or Network. The default is a pulse on network port 9100. The drawer opens automatically on cash payments (configurable).

Barcode scanner setup

Most USB/Bluetooth barcode scanners work as keyboard input — plug in and scan on the POS to add items. No special driver is usually needed.

Multiple printers & paper sizes

Run several printers at once (e.g. front-counter receipt + kitchen + bar). Set paper size per printer (58mm/80mm). Receipt templates and the visual invoice builder control the printed layout, and templates can be synced across devices.

Label & barcode printing

A label designer (Reports → Labels) prints product/barcode labels with per-element fonts and multiple barcode types (including CODE128), for shelf and product labelling.

Test print & troubleshooting

Always run a test print after setup. If a printer is offline or not printing, see Printer not printing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect a thermal printer?
Connect it by network or USB (install it in Windows for the Desktop app), then in Settings → Printers add it and select it as the receipt printer, choose 58mm/80mm paper, and run a test print.
How do I send different items to different kitchen printers?
Use kitchen printer routing — map categories or floors to specific kitchen printers so each station prints only its items.
My cash drawer won’t open — what do I check?
Confirm the connection type (Serial/USB/Network) and that it is set to open on cash payment. Network drawers default to a pulse on port 9100. See Troubleshooting.
