What is SRB e-Invoicing

Sindh Revenue Board Requires Electronic Invoicing for Service Businesses

The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) collects Sindh Sales Tax on Services under the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act 2011. Through its SRB-POS system (Sindh Revenue Board Point of Sales System) and the Online Integration of Business Rules 2022, SRB requires service providers -- starting with restaurants -- to issue electronic invoices where every bill is transmitted to SRB in real time and carries a unique SRB invoice number and verification QR code.

If your business provides taxable services in Sindh, SRB expects you to:

  • Register with SRB and obtain your Sindh tax registration (SNTN)
  • Issue SRB-verifiable invoices for every transaction, with tax shown
  • Transmit sales data electronically to the SRB system in real time
  • File monthly Sindh Sales Tax returns matching your invoice data

Sum Cloud POS does all four automatically. You sell -- the system registers the invoice with SRB, prints the compliant receipt and keeps your return data ready.

Who Must Integrate with SRB
Restaurants
All dine-in and fast food
Hotels
Rooms and dining
Marriage Halls
Banquets and lawns
Caterers

Beauty Parlours
Salons and spas
Cafes and Clubs

Integration is specifically mandated for: restaurants inside hotels, international franchises, restaurants with more than one branch in Sindh, outlets in air-conditioned malls, restaurants selling on online platforms, and businesses with turnover above Rs 5 million in the last twelve tax periods.

SRB covers SERVICES in Sindh. Retail goods fall under FBR -- see our FBR Integrated POS.

How It Works

How SRB Integration Works in Sum Cloud POS

Fully automatic on every sale -- your cashier does nothing extra

1
Sale Completed in POS

Cashier completes the sale as normal on phone, tablet or computer. Sindh Sales Tax on Services is calculated automatically at the correct rate for the payment method.

2
Invoice Sent to SRB Instantly

The invoice is transmitted to the Sindh Revenue Board e-invoicing system in real time. SRB returns a verifiable invoice number that is stored with the sale.

3
Compliant Receipt Printed

The customer receipt prints with the SRB invoice number and QR code so it can be verified. Your monthly return data builds automatically in the background.

SRB Integrated POS -- Frequently Asked Questions

SRB integrated POS software connects your point of sale directly to the Sindh Revenue Board e-invoicing system. Every sale is transmitted to SRB electronically in real time, receipts carry an SRB invoice number and QR code, and Sindh Sales Tax on Services is calculated and reported automatically.

Service providers taxable under the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act 2011: restaurants, hotels, marriage halls and banquet lawns, caterers, beauty parlours and salons, clubs and cafes. SRB has issued integration notices to Karachi restaurants and sealed non-compliant premises. Retail goods are FBR territory, not SRB.

The standard rate is 15% on cash. Restaurant bills paid through digital means (cards, wallets, QR) qualify for the reduced 8% rate under the Sindh digital-payment incentive. Sum Cloud POS applies the correct rate automatically based on the payment method.
